Enough Already!

Ugh! I don’t know about you, but I have had enough of my whining, rambling posts! Due to the near absolute silence here the last few days, I think you are done too!

I wish I had more fun stuff to write for you to read. So, in an effort to make you all happy to read here again, I am posting an embarrassing, terrible piece of poetry I wrote when I was probably 19 or 20 (please, be gentle, I know it’s awful :)):

The sunshine burns my skin

Turning it brown, black, red –

Burning into the core of my soul

Charring my insides –

Suffocating me.

The soft glow of the moon

Cools the wounds the sun has left

Filling in the gaps

Making me feel whole again

Making me complete.

Simmering in a pool of blood

I wait for things to change

And then she appears.

She holds me tight

She tells me she loves me

She is like an angel sent from above to rescue me –

Rescue me from myself.

The room lights up

The world lights up

And suddenly

The sun doesn’t burn so much anymore.

Hahahahahahahaha! That is some awful rubbish! I was a moody little bastard, wasn’t I? So there it is, an original M poem! If I can find some others, I will post them too. Believe me when I say that they are all moody and sort of dark – and still terrible.

About thelesbiannextdoor

I am a 43 year old lesbian, living with her wife in a small town. I have a 25 year old step-son. Who knows, I could be your neighbor ;) (Unless you know for sure your neighbor is not a lesbian - then I'm probably not!)
