One Word
Mel from SWBVR had a great idea to get inspiration. So I am stealing it 😉 (sort of!) 🙂
She asked her readers to throw scenarios at her so she could form stories around them and eventually write a play. I’m not writing a play, but I’d love to write some short stories.
If you post a word, phrase or situation in the comments, I will write a story around it and post it as a blog. This should be fun!
There’s a website called One Word that gives you one word and 60 seconds to write about it. This is kind of like that, only I will get a few more than 60 seconds.
I hope some of you will play along with me!

“GASPING”
(Can you tell I’m hoping there will be more writing like that in your book snippet?!!??!)

That’s a tough one!
I was once given a word to base a story around ‘Lybia’ and I began thinking ‘What the hell can I write about Lybia if I’ve never been there!?’ But actually that turned out to be one of my better stories, i wrote about someone with mental health problems, similar to multiple personality disorder who had created a whole ‘fake’ past in which she lived in Lybia … when in fact she’d never been there before! Think outside the box! 😉

I’ll definitely have to think outside the box! I’m excited to try and write a different kind of story though 🙂 Maybe I will combine your two words in one blog…..
Wow! You all have excellent ideas! Thank you!!
I will start on a blog soon!
(How many more !’s can I put in this comment??!!!!!!!)
Lighter. 🙂
Thank you Natalie! I thought I was going to do a story for each of the words submitted, but then I thought of one where I could incorporate all of them…..maybe I’ll do both 🙂
