I forgot to write a mother’s day post!

In all my haste and craziness with work, I completely forgot to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the women out there who have a baby in your arms, your belly or your heart!

Big D surprised us with breakfast in bed that morning. Fried egg sandwiches, chocolate milk, yogurt and pudding:) It was a very nice gesture even though he didn’t use butter to cook the eggs or on the english muffins:)

I also never realized just how hard it is to eat seconds after you wake up!

Everything was sweet and very much appreciated. We spent the day lounging around, not doing anything too special. D started saying that she thinks we should do something on Father’s Day, only call it “Parents Day”. I think that sounds like a great idea!

On another note, on Sunday we will celebrate 7 years together and 1 year officially married:) We decided that each year we would get each other something small or a gag-gift that incorporates what the traditional gifts are for that year. Since we always celebrate the day we met and it just so happens to be the day we married, we do two gifts for this one. The traditional gifts are paper (for 1 year) and cotton (for 7 years). This is a hard one for a combined cotton/paper gift, although money is made out of fiber and paper!:) I got her a gag tee-shirt that says “Property of M” on it and some lottery tickets and a card. (I think 7th anniversary is actually Wool now that I think about it, but we did Cotton….oh well!)

On July 30th we will be celebrating our Civil Union of 6 years. The 6 Year anniversary gift is sugar or iron……hmmmmmmmm, that shouldn’t be too tough.

So that’s what’s been going on at casa de TLND.

Hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather!
