Welcome to my blog

I hope I can keep you entertained enough to keep coming back. I have another blog on Blogspot.com, but I’m discontinuing it there. I never felt like I could be anonymous there for some reason, even though I never used my real name. So here I am!

The purpose of this blog is just so I can have a place to jot down my observations and musings about life in general, more specifically, life as an ordinary woman who happens to be a lesbian. I’ll recall stories about my childhood, my teenage years and my adult hood. My trials and tribulations, my coming out, struggles with my cheater ex-girlfriend, and all of the stuff in between.

To start off, let me tell you a little about myself. I’m 33. I have been with my wife D for 6 years. We were joined in a Civil Union in July of 2005, and recently got legally married on May 15th. We have a 15 year old son from D’s first marriage to a man (a story for another time!).  He is amazing, smart and funny and we love him to bits!

A few years ago I convinced my wife to let us start trying for a baby. I have always wanted to have a child of my own. We tried twice at home with frozen sperm, but it didn’t take. The experience was very taxing on us emotionally and physically, and since D doesn’t want any more children, it took a huge toll on our relationship. Since we dropped off the TTC train, our relationship has gotten very strong, and I wouldn’t give her up for the world! Lately I haven’t been feeling as overwhelmingly as I was about having a child. We’ll see how long that lasts! Our son, “little D” is graduating  in 2 years (a year early), and I am starting to see the benefits of a childless household. Like I said, we’ll see how long this lasts:)

I think that’s enough for today. I hope to blog often, and most of all I hope you come back to see me! Thanks for stopping by.

About thelesbiannextdoor

I am a 40 year old lesbian, living with her wife in a small town. I have a 22 year old step-son. Who knows, I could be your neighbor ;) (Unless you know for sure your neighbor is not a lesbian - then I'm probably not!)
